The Landspeed name was first adopted in 1999 by Ted Reddick following over 16 years in residential land acquisition for major private house builders - up to and including board level.

Originally a consultancy specialising in all aspects of the land disposal, acquisition and development process, a meeting with Gary Stirling (with over 15 years experience in the housing association sector) led to the formation of a new consultancy specialising in affordable housing issues an increasingly important aspect of the residential development process.

From 2001, the Landspeed Partnership have worked with numerous developers, landowners, local authorities and professionals, achieving many successes in terms of delivering affordable housing solutions that met the clients' objectives.

Landspeed Affordable Homes Limited is a specialised provider of non-grant funded affordable shared ownership properties, working closely with developers and local authorities in ensuring planning policies are respected and affordability is not compromised. The Company's first "enabling" role was secured on behalf of Westbury Homes (now Persimmon Homes) on a site at Hastings, East Sussex in 2005 with the Company's first physical development scheme commenced, near Norwich, in February 2006. Both schemes received considerable interest with all the properties oversubscribed in terms of applications.

The original Landspeed Development Consultancy still exists to assist landowners and developers where ever appropriate in terms of land disposal, and project management.
